Summer Berry

It's that time of summer when everyone starts asking everyone else if they're ready for the semester to start. The answer is almost invariably some variation on "Kinda."

Myself, I'm ready for the summer break to be over. I crave a busy schedule, something concrete to do. I've enjoyed my time off, enjoyed getting to read some things I wouldn't have read otherwise, but I'm looking forward to teaching, looking forward to my classes, looking forward to the insane amount of time and effort I have to put into things during the school year. Which is not to say I won't complain about it when it gets here, because I totally will. But that doesn't mean I don't love it.

This fact is one of the things that reassures me I've chosen the right career.
