A Cotswold scene

As soon as I saw this scene I wanted to blip it as it is such a classic scene of the Cotswolds. Sheep were essential to the textile industry which brought wealth to this area from the Middle Ages to late victorian times.

The water power in the valleys allowed the development of mills where the wool was processed. Many of them still exist, mostly converted to many other uses, but only one mill near the centre of Stroud still produces cloth.
