Birthday Wine

A lovely day in London to celebrate Kevin’s birthday. Lunch in Friend’s House when we arrived at Euston - very peaceful feel to the place (as you’d imagine with a Quaker headquarters!). Then an amazing wine and delicious cheese board at Gordon’s Wine bar - thanks to Uncle Kevin for treating us! Then wandered along past famous buildings (including Downing Street) to meet Naomi - lovely to see her, had been a long time! She gave us an excellent tour of Parliament (where she works) - definitely better when someone actually has an interest in history and details etc. - everyone including the kids loved it! Then off to China town to a Chinese restaurant, recommended by Naomi, for a delicious meal! Then home - although poor uncle Kevin forgot his bag at the restaurant and only realised when we got off the underground at Euston - so had to dash back and get it - amazed that he managed to get back in time for the train back to Birmingham!
