It's been a crazy day so not much time for cameras. We had the contractor scheduled this morning to do the radon remediation (we discovered radon levels above what is healthy several months ago). So Hubs dropped Jax off at daycare and when he came back home he went down to the basement to make sure all was in order. Only to discover that our water tank was leaking... Literally, when it rains, it pours. So while the two guys were here doing the remediation work, three more guys from a different company showed up to deal with our water tank. We are now several thousand poorer but the proud owners of a brand new water tank and (hopefully) radon-free air. Home ownership - not for the faint of heart!
After lunch, I decided to take a nap which was exactly what my body wanted. Hubs decided to start a fire, so when I came downstairs it was toasty warm and very inviting.
In wildlife news, I saw a black gray squirrel on our patio! I can only hope he will come back and allow some photos. He was extremely fluffy and very black - quite a standout from the "normal" gray squirrels. They are not a separate breed or even a subspecies, just a color morph. That said, they aren't common and I've only ever seen black ones maybe a half dozen times. And last night when Hubs was driving back from Akido he saw a mink run across the Lane as he turned in! We live near a small stream so it is not a total surprise that there would be mink, but we've certainly never seen them before.
Today's photo is none of those exciting things, just a black/gray rendition of our lovely Charlie. Heavily backlit.
