Goldfish

Today's the day ..................... to defy the odds

Incredibly, the goldfish in the pond have somehow managed to survive the winter, and were swimming about today as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Considering that the pond completely froze over more than once, for several days at a time, it is a bit of a miracle to say the least.  Will did try to melt a breathing hole for them once, but gave up in the end because the ice was too thick.

They're obviously made of strong stuff, our goldfish - real survivors in the wild ..................!
