Tollcross House
This A listed Scottish Baronial mansion was built in 1848 by Edinburgh architect David Bryce for James Dunlop who had coal mines and ironworks in the area, as his country home in his own private estate. In 1896 the estate was bought by Glasgow Corporation and the following year Tollcross Park was opened to the public. The house became a children's museum then a nursing home and very recently converted to flats.
