Birmingham
I picked up L & M & caught the train to Birmingham for a photography day out.
First stop was the tearooms in the Museum & then we eventually found the correct entrance for the Natural History Photography Exhibition & enjoyed seeing the amazing & sometimes troubling images but definitely worth a visit.
We did a bit of street photography in Centenary Square, there was beautiful light for a few minutes with sunlight & rain at the same time.
After a lunch break in the Bullring we went to see the Masters of Print Exhibition in St Martins Church. I had checked by email that the church would be open but when we arrived they said they were closed because the roof was being checked. We told them how far we’d come especially to see our friends work exhibited & they took pity on us & let us in. The exhibition had been moved into a smaller area but as there were just the three of us we were able to see all the photographs & they even gave us the last three catalogues so we were very pleased to leave them a donation to their beautiful church.
Back to the station just as our train arrived & we all agreed that we’d had a great day out.
