Good combination?

I believe this is Phlox. It's not in my garden. I like this flower, but I don't like the colour combination.

There are quite a few colour combinations in my own garden that I don't like. It's not easy to get things right all the time. I know that.

Inset a cooler, more neutral colour in between the two in this photo, and it would work (for me).

What do you think?
