Mono Month Challenge 2025 & Flower Friday 28_2025

Somehow I made it, 28 days with all my primary Blips in Mono, like today I did cheat by sending you all colourful Postcards which I hope you liked. They may continue as we continue our trip.

Main Blip: Our hotel for the past few days has been a reproduction old English pub which I gather was built just 30 years ago. It sits next to the Waimea Estuary on Nelson's Monaco Peninsula. It also sits very close to the flight path of planes going in and out of Nelson Airport. 

We have often sat out in the pub garden watching the planes come and go, wondering why a helicopter circles about nearly all day with a long rope or chain hanging down* and to witness seeing the seagulls attack any food plate left on a table unguarded. 

*my theory is it is to scare the birds away...

Postcard: My postcard today is mainly for Flower Friday. I popped down to a local park to grab the shot but ended up enjoying a milkshake. It's called Isel House in an area called Stoke. Other than that we have done very little, it has been so hot again, especially for us Brits. 

Tomorrow we move on just around the bay and into full colour! Congratulations to all of you who have joined me doing the Mono Month Challenge or part of it.I can't promise to comment on all your entries for a while but I do want to catch up at some time.
