That's a Big Hole!!

Thos of you who were kind enough to follow the saga of our new wall being built will be as horrified as we are at the recent turn of events following a major water leak right outside our house. This is the hole that was dug in the middle of the nght to carry out the necessary repairs - note how close it is to the new wall.

Some of the overhanging pavement has already collapsed into the hole, so I daren't drive my car anywhere near it until it is all filled in. A van turned up from the water company this morning and we thought things were moving on, but it was only to take water samples from inside the house. A bit belated, we thought, as we'd been drinking it since Saturday morning!

The road repairs are done by a separate contractor, so who knows when they will arrive:-) What has our poor wall done to deserve this?
