Formentera fun!
The kids have today and tomorrow off school because of Carnaval this weekend. Danny and I took a child each and had some fun time with them... Asha and I got the ferry across to Formentera and walked, took photos, talked etc... It was an extremely special day. She has my old camera and is utterly loving using it. Interesting to note that big scenery wasn't what she enjoyed photographing, but small details were... Several extras of her doing her thing...plus one of her where we realised that she was accidentally dressed perfectly for the colours of the sea and sky, even down to her trainers!
Home and we were exhausted after 5 hours walking on soft sand. Lovely to hear the boys had also had a special day together, doing lots of football and tennis related things up in one of the plazas.
Today I'm grateful for;
1) Special time with Asha. She was so relaxed and happy, and felt like her real self without the extras of school heaviness etc. This age holds that interesting tension of both needing me less and needing me more, all at the same time.
2) Finding a full sea urchin shell - they usually get broken in the sea.
3) Asha's enjoyment of photography.
