Mrs Friday

Paraskevi her name is, what means "Friday" and she begged me in to come and visit her, when I was taking photographs from near her house; that is from the scars of the bushfires of august 2021, that are to be found all over the North half of the island Evia and close to her home too see extra).
I accepted her invitation as she looked so sad and alone on the outskirts of her village. 
She wanted to share her time and dinner with me, but I couldn't accept her giving me her foods, thus we settled with a glass of tsipouro/raki and talk. She told me about the fires of 2021, about the sudden loss of her man years ago (heart attack) what triggered the loss of her beauty and youth (she said; she's 9 years my junior). Her 2 children and grandchildren live in Athens, what's quite far away from her in the North of Evia... hence her hunger for a break from loneliness, I guess and she invited me with persistence. 
I photographed her and must send her the prints I just have had made here (4 times the price from Greece it costs here in Holland) and because her name is "Paraskevi / Friday " I enter her image here today.
