Calm
So busy at work! I buzz when it’s busy, though, and I prefer it to when it’s quiet. It was fabulous to find some sunshine at lunch, a small bask on the Thames Path near Vauxhall Bridge.
I could have worked well into the evening but had to head home to meet the cinema friends. Tonight’s showing was No Other Land. Not an easy watch - those poor folk on the West Bank having their homes destroyed, with footage captured on camera by one of the residents. We follow him and his family, his Israeli friend (also a director of the film), and residents of his village mainly over the last five years as they try to stay on their land. Enlightening viewing - I’m so glad they’ve got the story out and it’s receiving accolades. I hope Basel’s story is seen by many. He’s had to get an independent distributor for the US as main distributors won’t take it on.
