Shyness personified
At last I give you a portrait of Oscar. He is under the kitchen table waiting for food. Daisy, in contrast, is rolling around and shouting. These siblings are very different in so many ways.
I thought I might pack my case before my optician's appointment, but I left it until later. I like to do it all in one go and hope I remember everything (I can just imagine what hazelh will say when I confess to having only a basic list!)
My eye test showed the the astigmatism in my right eye has changed significantly. I am also slightly less short sighted overall. My corrected distance vision is 20/20 despite cataracts, so they will not need surgery yet.
The optician and I are both keen photographers so there is plenty to talk about whenever I go.
I have chosen new frames but always doubt my choice.
(I need a mortgage for new varifocals and new computer specs.)
Inevitably I could not find everything first time for the packing. I had withdrawn money from the cash machine ready to buy local currency tomorrow. I rarely have much cash in the house, so I always hide it. (Bit paranoid really.) I had no idea where it was. Much searching later and I had decided to withdraw more tomorrow, since it would turn up. Then it did, although I do not remember what I was thinking to hide it in a lens case!!
I have to leave at 0630 in the morning so it will be an early start and a long day of travelling.
