The Chemical Works

This is some of the skeletal remains of the giant ICI works at Grangemouth, Scotland. Various buy outs and shutdowns have left the site a shadow of it's former self. Even when I was going to start college this site employed hundreds including dozens of apprentices and trainee lab staff.

Wonder where these manufacturing jobs are now? As the banking crisis has shown if you rely on froth don't be surprised if it blows away. You have to make things to have an economy I reckon.
