In a Waima Crescent garden

This morning we went to the big garden shop in Henderson, followed by the paint shop. There computers went down and they could not take any sales except for tradies with an account with them. A little frustrating. 

After lunch we visited S' brother who is getting his house ready to be put on the market. Working very hard, and achieving an excellent result. Proof wil be when its on the market.

Late afternoon walk. I'm quite pleased with the flower I saw in Waima Crescent.

The news bulletins on National Radio this morning led with the meeting between President Trump and President Zelensky. After hearing that the meeting ended up as a 'slanging match'. And then I saw a video of the meeting. 

Trump and his deputy (Vance) wereshouting, and trying to stop anyone hearing Zelensky, who did not shout, did not abuse either Trump or Vance, and was subjected to hostile and immature behaviour by the US President and Vice-President. 

They kept demanding that Zelensky apologise; he had accepted an invitation to meet with Trump, who turned it into a 'Reality TV Show, and could not accept it when Zelensky sought to convince Trump should continue the US support of Ukraine against Russia.

I was struck by the way media here in Aotearoa/NZ seemed to follow the lead of US media. I could not hear Zelensky  much of the time because the bully boys from the USA made sure that his voice could not be heard.

Later today I was surprised and pleased to hear that our Prime Minister stated unequivocally that New Zealand would support Ukraine against the Russian invaders.
