France - day 5

Met up with Matthew at lunch time in the village near to his centre. Had a pleasent lunch and then visited his centre. Its really nice. Smaller than Series where he has worked previously but more homely and intimate. Its only when visiting the centre and seeing it in action that you realise just how much responsibility he has as centre manager. They currently have 67 guests and 43 staff. Not bad for a lad of 26 who didn't want to work in an office so went to France to be a kayak instructor.

Night market in Valon tonight. Turned up at almost 11 p.m. and the place was heaving. So lively and a good atmosphere. I wonder if we would be more like this in the UK if we had a better climate?

Sore love handles today. Diana didnt cover me evenly with sun cream yesterday. She does this every year!
