Caked out

We were thirteen for our coffee, cake and catch up morning. It was good to see friends, some of whom we have not seen for a while. I was glad for some distraction from the troubling geopolitical news that has consumed the airways today. In the afternoon, I rested, a good thing after a heavy fall on my hip yesterday while playing tennis. I am sore today but I don’t think there is any serious damage which is encouraging as the date for our next match has been confirmed for next Friday. I am leading the bell practice this afternoon as our tower captain is away. I will have to get my brain in gear.
