Why so quiet?

It was a lovely day and I took myself off for a bit more of the A-Z walking - a bit I know well, but haven't walked around for ages. I couldn't work out why there were so few people around for a sunny Saturday and why so many shops were closed, then I remembered Ramadan is upon us. Which was somewhat remiss as I've spent most of this week chatting with students who may be fasting (We already know which immediate colleagues!) though a number of ours don't, on health/disability grounds, but they often observe the spirit of the fast.
 
Both the mosque and the church which is up a bit of a hill in this picture can be seen for quite some distance, but it was surprisingly difficult to get a good picture.
