Out the Back
The sun didn't really come through today, which was a shame.
Mum I and went to Lauriston Castle for a walk, but it was cold. We were pleased we could get a cup of tea at Mimi's Bakehouse. We managed a wee bit of food shopping on the way home.
In the afternoon I tidied the front and back gardens. The back garden is getting a curated feel now, as I am labelling everything that disappears through the winter such as Fritillaries and Erythroniums of different types. I have planted lots more snowdrops in the green.
I now have planted in the greenhouse-peas, broad beans, sweet peas, borage, Nigella and cornflowers. I am experimenting with getting annual flower seeds propagated early-I normally do a direct sow later. I have two small lean to green houses on the go-all exciting.
The chimney pots looked great with the delicate birch branches, and the gentle gloam.
