A walk in the woods

A wonderful, cold but sunny, early start to a regular haunt, Mere Sands.
J9 had her binoculars and spotted the usual suspects, plus pheasants, a hare & a nuthatch.
I had my usual ancient old manual Helios lens on my camera. This photo shows all its flaws in one image. It is prone to flare, its focus is dreadful in the corners and its colours are muted.
I love it.

Any other day the extra of a robin would have been my blip. I got incredibly close (it’s a 58mm lens) & it waited patiently for me to focus.

But if I was to look back & see one photo, I would want it to be j9.
