Drake Eurasian Wigeon

Up at Birsay Bay today and the wind never dropped below about 23mph. Big waves coming in and they disturbed some wigeon resting on the beach below where I was standing, so I did not disturb this bird, it just appeared from below the edge, as did another dozen or so. The tide was high so not waders on the beach but did see about 50 turnstone and 30 purple sandpipers etc and a returned pair of shelduck, which always breed there.
