LA BELLA VITA

The sun likes it here

Third beautiful day in a row. Made an effort to get myself ready. Had to drop off a prezzie for 'K' our neighbours' now 5 years old, then we drove to Milford-on-Sea (blipped).

Wall-to-wall sun. Walked along the coast. After 20mns remembered I forgotten to pay to park, so rushed back and drove into the centre. Hope a fine doesn't arrive in the post! Stopped at the Beach House for a drink (hadn't realised how impressive the interiors are. The Grade 2 Listed house was built for Alexander Siemens)

"The Grade II listed Beach House was built in 1897 for Alexander Siemens (who created the world’s first public electricity supply at Godalming) as a summer house for his family. Formerly known as Westover Hall, Hall & Woodhouse brewery renamed it ‘The Beach House’ in 2012 to reflect how the Siemens family had always used it.
Built in the Arts and Crafts style it was judged the most luxurious residence on England’s south coast and indeed the imposing stained glass windows portray Pre-Raphaelite scenes from the “The Enchanted Wood” can still be viewed from the bar area today"
