Climbing children

As part of our current "stay-cation", we are taking the children to some different local activities, so today we went to White Spider ( http://www.whitespiderclimbing.com), an indoor climbing centre in SW London, on the same industrial estate I work on.

I took the eldest two with me. My son managed to climb the highest on the first, after some encouragement and support from our helpful instructor, Bee.

On the second wall, my daughter went much higher than she'd ever been before, again from the helpful encouragement from Bee.

There was some time bouldering (climbing without ropes) as well. A great 90 minute session for ?12.50 per child, which I thought was incredible value, and the groups will only have up to six children.

They also played in the climbing castle for a while, and by the time we left we'd been there for three hours!

In other news, my son and I managed to get our hair cut as well. He has lost his Lego hair and down to my usual grade 2, but not to be topped by my son, I got a grade 1.5. We are now enjoying The Empire Strikes Back before dinner!
