The National Museum of Scotland in Chambers Street in Edinburgh, is a place I've been visiting since the 1960s.

It's free to visit and has a wonderful collection of all manner of stuff.  This is the entrance hall redeveloped in the early part of this century.

Simply an absolutely tremendous place.
