Smardale Gill Viaduct

A very good curry at the Raj in Penrith last night and a few beers, therefore not off to a flying start this morning. However we did manage to get down to Smardale Gill Nature reserve for a walk along the old railway.
The viaduct which was fully restored in 1990 which you can walk over. We did about 4 miles out and back today but will return for a longer walk through the area. Lots to look at and hear,  we saw a red squirrel (extra) lots of birds,  Roe Deer and Shetland Ponies.
