The train waiting at Platform 2

Beautifully bright and sunny once more after a hard overnight frost. I managed to get Len to help me fit the new bottom sheet on the bed which hopefully will not ride up in the night. It has much stronger elastic round the edges than the previous sheet.

It took a bit of persuading but Len finally agreed to come with me to Quorn and Woodhouse station on the Great Central Railway that shows off several steam engines. It was the Spring steam festival this weekend.

We purposely went after lunch when crowds were just beginning to thin and were lucky enough to find a table right by the fence outside the café where there's a good view of trains coming in and out of the station. Sandwiches, latte and ice cream  all in order.
