Aduarderzijl

Ton, Peter and I went to Electra and Aduarderzijl today for some drone photography. At Electra we found out that the pumping station, the main subject of interest, was nicely wrapped in scaffolding with a lovely blue safety net around it. Not ideal, but we did fly and we all drained our first (of three) batteries. We helped each other by calling out our altitude every now and then, to make sure there would not be any mid-air collisions.

We then drove to Aduarderzijl, where the Reitdiep is meandering through the landscape. In the extra you can see more of this. My main regret is, not taking any panorama shots which would allow me to capture more of the bends. It's a feature my drone has, so why didn't I make use of this? I guess I'm still a bit preoccupied with actually flying the drone. Still, I'm quite happy with the shots I did take. Once again, just like yesterday, some beautiful patterns of light and shadow caused by the clouds.

So thank you Peter and Ton for this afternoon. I had a lot of fun. Definitely something worth repeating!
