The redevelopment programme isn’t proving to be plain sailing. We’ve deliberately kept the core numbers small to whittle down the limitless options before going out to a wider “consultation” with the members. Smart politics, y’see. Except that even in a small group it’s a struggle to get some focus. Especially with a 1/75th scale model to play with. Note for pedants: MP brought along a model crane - it’s OO scale… that’s 1/76th! Back to the drawing board.
After that I had to scoot up town; I’d foolishly agreed to attend a little nosh with old colleagues. Oh Lord it wasn’t the most entertaining time I could wish for. C arrived with two walking sticks. Sciatica. However he’s still on antibiotics from a lung infection so wasn’t drinking. And his wife had fallen over in the garden on her new knees which has put her recovery back a bit. And he’s still hoping to go to Canada in four weeks … where his sister is terminally ill with the big C. Anyone for starters or are we just having mains? Small talk anyone? What about those Brit awards?
