The builder

I spent the morning at Burton Mere and was lucky enough to see both the male and female kingfishers, although only got close enough to the male for a decent photograph.  As you can see from his beak, he's busy building a nest just at the moment - it's that time of year.

After lunch it was time to meet up with Cathy and then start the long journey back down the M6 and M5 to home.  We were fortunate that there weren't any significant hold ups on any of our journeys, so all in all it was quite day/trip.
