Things that make D smile...
There are many things that make him smile but strawberry tarts are up there in the top 10 I think :-)
We were supposed to meet friends Keith & Mairi for lunch but poor Mairi isn't well. A lingering bug that she's had since they holidayed abroad a few weeks ago, so we postponed our get together till next Tuesday when hopefully she will be fully recovered.
With the reservation made, and in the mindset of going out for lunch, D reduced the booking from four to two and we went along anyway and had a lovely lunch at the River House in Stirling.
A wander round Lakeland and Dobbie's afterwards resulted in the purchase of a heated towel rain for Alan's team, and Easter gifts for Esme and Orla. A snuggly Easter Bunny for Orla and a nasturtium planting kit for Esme. I will add an easter Egg to Esme's and some crocheted easter egg bunting.
Home and some exciting development on the holiday front. My blip pal Patricia is spending a week with us in May, but is returning in 2026 to enjoy a boat trip around the inner Hebrides, that ends in Oban. Patricia wondered if it would be possible for us to meet her in Oban after her cruise and spend a week with her in Oban. Well having had a wonderful holiday in a stunning house in Oban last April, she didn't have to ask twice. Checked availability of the house and it was free so it's booked! When we take Patricia to the airport after the end of this year's trip, her leaving will be slightly sweeter knowing next year's trip is all sorted :-))
A restful evening with some crochet planning and a wonderful snooze in my chair. No need for dinner after our lovely lunch so tea and toast sufficed.
More beautiful flowers delivered from friend Jude in Australia and flowers and chocolates brought in by Alan's support worker Christine. People are so kind!
