Third stone at this location. I wonder how long this one will last...

Yesterday we found the stone at the RTR memorial on Bindon Hill gone too.

I'm pretty sure most of the stones are taken by children, because they see the dog and want it. I think others are taken because of the trend for "travelling stones" - people paint stones with the idea that others find them, post a picture on farcebook/instagram, and relocate them. The puzzle, to me, is how few make contact. Perhaps they don't read the text until they get home, and feel guilty about taking them?
