Night Lights

Monday. It’s cold and icy this morning after last night’s clear skies. A thick, freezing fog cloaked the landscape, and the car windows needed a good scrape before we could get going. The fog burned off quickly in the sun, and by mid-morning, we had bright sun and blue sky once more—but it stayed very cold.

Work passed uneventfully. It was a long day, but not a bad one by any means. I read somewhere that today is the first day in 2025 when the sun sets after 6 p.m. It's nice to feel the long summer days approaching, and we still have spring to look forward to. As I left work, I noticed the deep blue sky contrasting with an orange glow from street lights and the nearby Sainsbury’s sign. I found this composition incorporating the reflections on the black backside of my car.
