Monday…. Overton

I wasn’t needed for H today but I offered to have him so I could go and nosey around the area Sim and Nat will be moving to and arranged to meet Bex there too.  As it happens Sim was planning on doing the same so I tagged along.  I got to take O to nursery first.  We had a good walk around the village, up to the school where they hope Oscar will be able to attend, spotted some deer on the way back, watched the large fish (trout?) in the River Test which, as a chalk stream, is incredibly clear.

The village is large with so many amenities ~ cafes, restaurants/takeaways, pubs, post office, pharmacy, butchers, bakers, greengrocers, small coop, boutiques, galleries….. I could go on but it seems to be a thriving village with lots going on.

When we first arrived we drove up to the small estate where the house is and they were just putting up the sold sign.

We stopped for a coffee and sandwich before another stroll before heading back.  It’s only about 15 minutes to Bex’s but we took a different route to her but I think maybe we should have gone her way lol.  Back at Sims I shot straight home.  It had been a lovely day made even better in the spring sunshine.
