First Bee Shot of 2025!

A cold start to the morning, with ice on the pond and fog outside - and no heating or hot water! 

Yes, the plumbers are back to upgrade the hot water system. We're getting shot of the gravity fed hot water tank and moving to a pressurised system, which will provide hot water at mains pressure. The last part of the extension build.

Thankfully, the Sun broke through the fog and before long the ice was gone and the bees were buzzin'. This is one of hundreds currently harvesting from the viburnum, still providing plenty of flowers as it has throughout winter.

I wonder if the bees in America have been told of the death of the Republic? One should always tell the bees of a passing...
