Every picture tells a story
This seemingly average and perhaps rather boring to many photo tells several stories to me. Firstly that crane which I photographed a number of times, has gone. It was used to help with the rebuilding of a considerably smaller care home (formerly a hospital many decades ago) which brings me to the second point. We had thought that when the first phase of rebuilding was over that would be it. This is not the case as building has continued and continues to this day. At night lights are left on in uninhabited rooms, no doubt as a security measure, and of course you can see them when the trees on the Donkey Patch are not in leaf. You can't see the road in which the care home is situated but that road has been been badly damaged by the frequent lorries to the site. Let's hope that it is all worth it!
