On This Day

Winter Aconite

Eranthis hyemalis

I spotted a clump of aconites yesterday when I was out with R. I decided to go back today and make a blip. The easiest to reach flowers are past their best but I had a wee scramble and found this one. I like aconites but I've never been successful at  growing them myself. I don't think they're really wildflowers but they've naturalised here so I'm calling them wild.

After the regular Tuesday zoom I walked with a local friend and she came back for coffee. Then I popped into town to post a birthday card to the Netherlands (£2.85 if you please). We don't have a local post office any more and that's a big miss.

No Tuesday childminding today as our grandson has a half day off school. This gives me the chance to do Tuesday yoga for the third week in a row.
