An early appointment at the hairdressers (I drove there) then straight into Kendal for some shopping. I had two lists, one for Morrisons and the other for Sainsbury’s.

As shopping trips go it was surprisingly successful. I’m pleased I had some breakfast and taken a flask of coffee and piece of flapjack because it was 1 o’clock when I got home. It also had the benefit of keeping me away from following the news that I woke to on the radio.

Those who remember my rhubarb crumble blip will be pleased to read that I’ve bought new packs of flour and oats.
