Between the Broom and the Lavender
...which the British call French, but is definitely Portuguese as well, and smells wonderful.
The Brazilian family set out to come here for lunch, but their brakes started failing, so they turned around and went home. Shame, but also a relief for us, and meant we had time to go out for a wander around the Vinhas dam. Mike saw the resident eagle owl, plus turtles, rabbits, cormorants, hundreds of martins under the bridge...
The others had naps, while I had a two hour Zoom meeting; my bum hurts!
Just off to Ersin and Florence's for drinks and snacks.
Gratefuls:
- a more relaxed day than I was expecting
- eating lunch outside (though rain brought us in before we'd finished)
- gorgeous afternoon sunshine pouring in at the end of the meeting
