I Witness

Tiny Tuesday ...

... Animal.

I wanted to put the rented lens to the test today for macro photography.  I had previously tried getting close to an object but today I really had a go at it.  And today's Tiny Tuesday theme of 'animal' was the perfect excuse to pull out our Cat-Opoly game board.  Yes ... that's a thing!

I honestly thought there would be a tiny cat token as part of the game but it seems it's either missing or there wasn't one to begin with.  We had purchased the game second hand so there could be some missing pieces and we would never know it.  However, there was a tiny mouse ... and tiny fish tokens so I set them on the board to photograph.

Now, keep in mind I wasn't using a macro lens for this shot.  But I was able to get as close as an inch or two and the camera still focused on the tiny animals.  I'm super impressed.  Thanks to Jensphotos for hosting Tiny Tuesday all this month.

In other news ... After lunch we got out for a walk so that I could use the rented lens one more time before dropping it off at UPS to ship back.  Overall I've been quite impressed with lens as a whole.  The optics are amazing and it gives me more focal range than my go to lens ... which is the 70-300mm.  The only real downside is the lens slide while walking.  Because it's a telephoto lens it tends to telescope open ... which is a little annoying.  There is a lens lock which I had to use to keep this from happening.  But then you have to remember to unlock if you want to take a picture at any other focal range than where it's locked.

During our walk at Louise Moore park we encountered the beautiful Peaches.  I've added some photos of her to my Facebook feed.
