Skeena Falls

AKA Maruia Falls. 

Today didn't quite go to plan. Half way between Motueka and Hanmer Springs you'll find Maruia Falls. My postcard in Extras shows the falls from the top, there is a 200M walk down to where they say you can get a better view.

The path stops before you can see the falls but families were down a rocky slope. I started to go down but a large rock slipped and I went flying hitting the ground with a large rock hitting my ribs.

The first thing I saw was my left middle finger bent 45 degrees in the wrong direction...

A number of people came to my help and even put the finger in a splint. I then drove to Hanmer Springs where I knew there was a medical centre. My main Blip is as I was waiting for the jabs to work so the doctor could put the finger back in place. I have spared you the x-rays and raw finger snaps.
