A bit of Flare

The flooring contractor arrived just after 09:30 and spent four hours installing the Karndean flooring in the kitchen and utility room. He seems to have done a good job, and aside from the bedrooms, which are carpeted, the flooring now flows seamlessly throughout the house.

Paul and Huw are scheduled to return tomorrow to continue working on the kitchen cabinets, but progress will be limited until the worktops are cut and installed.

This afternoon, I ran a few errands in Denbigh. As usual, I parked at the bottom end of town and walked up to the centre, passing these old petrol pumps that still display prices in gallons. They must have last dispensed petrol before the change to litres over 40 years ago.
