Budge, the Cathedral Cat
This is Budge, the Norwich Cathedral cat, who was up to no good as usual. Here he’s surveying his domain from the pulpit, he actually has a perfectly nice home in the cathedral close. In the Extra you can see him removing the napkin from on top of the glass of water in the pulpit, so he can have a sneaky drink. Again, he has a bowl of water available for him at any time. He’s also been know to sit in the chair reserved for the bishop, and even leave an unwelcome present in the crib at xmas. He’s getting very old now, but that doesn’t stop him, although he did move from the pulpit to sit on a grate above a hot water pipe.
After visiting the cathedral, I then did a dungeon tour in the Castle, which was interesting. The Castle was used for holding County prisoners before trial for around 500 years. In the afternoon I saw Kinky Boots at the theatre. It was very good, but I was disappointed that the understudy was on for the main part of Lola, not Strictly’s Johannes Radebe. I was so looking forward to seeing him in a part that could have been written for him.
