Pittenweem Arts Festival

It’s nearly two years since I last visited Pittenweem, the small fishing village on the east coast of Scotland, which is also home to a thriving community of artists.
At this time of the year it hosts the Pittenweem Arts Festival, now in its 31st year, where artists from all over the UK hire space in private houses for the 10-day event.

With nearly 70 venues there is something for everyone .

It's easy to see why artists flock to this very pretty fishing village and on a sunny day like today it was idyllic with young people swimming in the sea, albeit in wet suits.
