Oystercatcher or tōrea

May I thank everyone for their kind words and thoughts about my fall yesterday. My finger is numb and will not bend for sometime. My ribs only hurt when I laugh, cry or move, so not bad really...

Today we left Hanmer Springs before breakfast and headed south. As I didn't get the chance or urge to take many photos yesterday I did take one of the hills/mountains as we came out of Hanmer Springs. My extra is 3 photos stitched together using ON1 Photo RAW 2025. I loved how the clouds clung to the lower levels. 

Our route south adventurually joined SH1 past Christchurch down to Timaru. We hoped to spot some Little Blue penguins on Caroline Bay Beach but it is late in the season and non appeared during our visit. Before it got dark we briefly went down to the beach and I took my main Blip of an oystercatcher looking for food. It didn't seem to mind me being close. 

Tomorrow we head south again but I need to see someone before we go.
