Hieringbiete Konzèr in Maastreech

An old tradition was brought back to live in Maastricht today. Carnival over there is over now and is closed today with a small concert by the new Maastricht Salon Orchestra, existing of members of the Johann Strauss Ochestra of Andre Rieu.

Years ago Andre started his fame with his small Salon Orchestra and that’s grown out to what it is today.

I’m recognizing a Masterplan here. This is a way the Maestro is securing his music for the future by preparing a whole new Orchestra.
Still small now but I guess in a few years this tradition will grow to a new yearly phenomenon and more.

Anyway, we’re already making plans to be there on the OL Vrouwekerk-square next year on carnival Ash-Wednesday.
Looking forward to it already.
