Herdsman’s Lake

I had a very interesting expedition this morning when I found myself at Herdsman’s Lake near Wembley.  It’s a huge expanse of water and a haven for all sorts of water birds.  I had to drop our car out to Toyota for servicing and to my great surprise they offered me a complimentary ride to wherever I wanted to go within a 10 mile radius!!  Oh, and they also sent me off with a free coffee.  I had a lovely couple of hours there and although the sun was not my friend today, I did manage to find a very friendly Heron who sat and posed for me.  The real bonus of dealing with the Toyota company today was that they sent an Uber taxi to collect me and take me back to the Service Centre to collect the car later on today.
