Alexanders (Smyrnium olusatrum)

Today's weather is misty and a bit gloomy so I decided to do a close-up. These flowers are growing along the verge of the main road through the village. According to Wikipedia the stems of the plant can be cooked like asparagus (but I'm not a forager).
