Chuckling!

A wonderful day of birthday celebrations for the new 11 year old of the house today.

The present opening ceremony was followed by various family and friends popping round with felicitations. Birthday lunch with grandad at McDonalds, then the party guests arrived for a tea party where strange hats were worn.

Then the main event, going to Skegness to watch the Chuckle Brothers in Meet The Phantom. We love the Chuckles' live shows and have been going for years. The routines might not change much but that's a part of the charm. I think Big Bloke and I will still be going when the kids have left home, we love it so much.

The cake went down very well with 11 Doctors, Batman, Robin and Harry Potter turning up to hold up the letters. Unfortunately they are all now wearing concrete chocolate boots and may find themselves propping up a new bridge on the M180 any time soon ...
