Today's the day ...................... to clear away

Will had a meeting today at NTS Threave Gardens and so I dropped him off there, while I went to do the weekly shop in Castle Douglas.

The damage caused last month by Storm Eowyn, that caused devastating destruction across most of Scotland, was immediately apparent.  They lost over sixty trees here - many of them very special - and they are still in the process of clearing away the remains.

It will take many years to recover what they have lost ......................
